Our code of conduct is the foundation of our approach to each day. It is simple. It is practical. It helps us to keep front of mind - at all times - what we believe should be at the very heart of a learning environment.
It is important to be kind and caring, always. In a totally supportive environment, we know that children adjust comfortably to new surroundings. And that means they are ready so much more quickly to explore and enjoy new experiences.
It is important to consider the needs of each individual child, always. At Helen's Bay Montessori Pre-School, we focus on children as individuals. Our small class size enables us to ensure children’s individual personalities and preferences.
It is important to make sure our children are interested in the activities we offer, always. The whole Montessori approach is focused on engaging with children and drawing out their talents through experience. That’s why we invest in a range of the latest educational toys, games and facilities. Every week, our lively young minds will have a chance to try both new and familiar activities for themselves, with just enough repetition to build confidence and enough new things to satisfy curiosity.
It is important to provide a safe environment, always. The physical safety and well being of our children is paramount. That’s why we regularly liaise with Social and Education Services to make sure our understanding of regulations and compliance is always up-to-date. It’s why our staff have full and current children’s first aid qualifications. And it’s why we make sure that every situation is safe as well as enjoyable.
